We will be presenting “The Wizard of Oz… Short and Sweet” in the TUSCH Festival in Podewil, on Wednesday 9th of March at 9.30 a.m. The stars of this show are Mrs. Werdin’s 6th class from the Hermann-Schulz-Primary School in Reinickendorf. Melissa Holroyd, Josh Spriggs and Peter Scollin have been working regularly with the class over the last few months. The kids are very excited about their presentation and especially about speaking English on stage in front of an audience. We can’t possibly present the whole musical, we have decided to concentrate on a few strong scenes and three songs. There will be shadow puppetry as well. This has been a bit of a “Gesamtkunstwerk” as we have collaborated with both the music teacher and the art teacher. Bookings: 030 247 49 857 or tickets@tusch-berlin.de.
We had a very good Instant Theater session with 12th graders from the Emil-Fischer-Schule in Wittenau recently. This is a special form of participatory theater, which we are now offering to schools. If you are a teacher and you want us to come to your school to conduct an Instant Theater session. Please call us - 030 614 01920.
The March season is unusually short because the Easter holidays start very early this year. For BETWEEN THE LINES we are offering a special price (5.50 € instead of 6.50€) for the shows on 10th and 14th and 16th of March.
We will be on tour with THE CLOWN WHO LOST HIS CIRCUS in Gelsenkirchen on February 22nd and with ANGSTMÄN and TOP CARD CAMILLA on the 11th and 12th of April in Kleistforum, Frankfurt (Oder).
We’re still looking for young people to participate in our weekly, after school theater and language training sessions, which will be run by Joshua Spriggs and Olivia Dean. We plan to have a group for 9 - 13 year olds on Wednesdays from 4.30 p.m. till 6 p.m. in K77 ( Kastanienallee 77, Prenzlauer Berg) and a group for 14 - 18 year olds on Saturdays from 12 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. in Haus der Jugend, ( Zillestr. 54,Charlottenburg).
